” Writing a series takes time and commitment. After all, any series is going to take you years to complete at the rate most authors release. So is it worth it? Absolutely. Why? Because readers love series books. If you’re going to do a series, what do you need to know?
What subgenre will you write it in? Have you published in this subgenre before?
What other authors are doing a series in the subgenre? How much competition are they for you?
Do you want to base the entire series around a trope (eg billionaires) or a specific place (Hello, Virgin River!)
Can you come up with enough compelling characters to fill out a series?
Can you worldbuild enough to support a series?
Will you be able to release your series books in time that readers in this saturated marketplace won’t forget you? Those are only some of the topics we’ll tackle in this workshop. Some of the things we’ll talk about take place before you start, some during the process, and some when you’re ready to stop writing the series. This workshop is for beginners to seasoned writers.”
